Western Timber Frame™ is a designer and manufacturer of heavy-timber outdoor living structures, built on the idea that the most valuable square footage of a home is the space where people gather. Founded in 2008 in Payson, Utah, the company has built 7,000+ custom structures nationwide, engineered to code in all 50 states, and holds 28 Best of State Awards, multiple Inc. 5000 honors, an HGTV Design Excellence Award, and the 2026 SBA Utah District Manufacturing Small Business of the Year award.

Our approach pairs traditional timber-frame craftsmanship with modern engineering. Using our patented Dovetail Difference® joinery (US Patent No. 9,797,149 B2) and TimberVolt® power-post system, we build pergolas, pavilions, cabanas, gazebos, and decks that interlock without metal brackets or exposed steel hangers. Every project starts with 3D architectural rendering and engineering and carries through to precision CNC manufacturing and installation a full concept-to-creation process, not an off-the-shelf catalog design.
